Introduction

StudyKits is a certification exam preparation app built by AITYTECH. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

StudyKits is designed to collect minimal information:

  • No Account Required: StudyKits does not require user accounts for its features. The current version (v1) has no login or registration system.
  • Anonymous Analytics: If you opt-in, we may collect anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics (e.g., app opens, feature usage, exam categories viewed). This is optional and can be disabled in settings.
  • Purchase Information: Subscription purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not collect or store payment information directly.
  • Support Inquiries: If you contact us via email (support@studykits.app), we receive your email address and message content.
  • Study Progress: All study progress, scores, and bookmarks are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

How We Process Data

StudyKits processes data primarily on your device:

  • Question Data: Practice questions and explanations are bundled with the app and stored locally on your device.
  • Study Progress: Your scores, completed sets, bookmarked questions, and exam history are stored on-device only.
  • No Cloud Sync: In the current version (v1), there is no cloud synchronization. All your data stays on your device.
  • Internet Connection: An internet connection is only needed for the initial app download and updates from the app store. Core study features work completely offline.

Data Storage

  • Local Storage: All study data, progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device using the app's internal database.
  • No Cloud Backup: Currently, there is no cloud backup feature. If you uninstall the app, your study progress will be lost.
  • User Control: You can delete all app data at any time from your device settings or from within the app's settings screen.

Third-Party Services

StudyKits uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Handles app distribution, subscriptions, and purchases. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
  • Google Analytics: Optional anonymous usage analytics (only if you opt-in). You can disable this in app settings.
  • RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and entitlements. Data is anonymized and does not include personally identifiable information.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash reports to help us improve app stability. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

Children's Privacy

StudyKits is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@studykits.app and we will take steps to delete such information.

International Users & Data Protection

StudyKits is GDPR and CCPA compliant by design:

  • Data Minimization: We collect minimal data, and all study-related data stays on your device.
  • Right to Erasure: You can delete all your data at any time from within the app or by uninstalling it.
  • No Data Transfers: Since your study data stays on your device, there are no international data transfers of personal information.
  • Consent-Based Analytics: Analytics are only enabled with your explicit consent, and you can revoke consent at any time.
