Introducing StudyKits: The Smarter Way to Prepare for Cloud Certifications
StudyKits exam prep apps for AWS, Google Cloud and PMI exams: original practice questions, offline access, five in-app languages, detailed explanations.
Updated October 2026: StudyKits now has 16 apps (AWS 8, Google Cloud 6, PMI 2). See the current list on our apps page.
We built StudyKits because preparing for cloud certification exams should not require juggling five different tools, paying monthly subscriptions, or being tethered to a laptop with an internet connection.
Today, we are excited to launch StudyKits — mobile-first practice question apps for AWS and Google Cloud certification exams (PMI exams followed later), built for studying efficiently, affordably and on your own schedule.

Why We Built StudyKits
Certification exam preparation has a problem. The tools available today were built for desktop users with reliable internet connections and the budget for monthly subscriptions. But the reality of how people actually study looks very different.
People study on their phones during commutes. They study in airport lounges with unreliable Wi-Fi. They study in languages other than English. They study in short bursts throughout the day, not in two-hour blocks at a desk.
We built StudyKits to match how people actually prepare for exams, not how training companies think they should.
What Makes StudyKits Different
Original Practice Questions with Detailed Explanations
Each app has hundreds of original practice questions written to that exam’s guide (the number for each app is on its App Store page). Every question comes with a thorough explanation of the correct answer and — critically — why every wrong answer is wrong. Understanding the reasoning behind each answer choice is what teaches you to handle unfamiliar questions on exam day.
There is one app per exam. The current apps cover:
- AWS (8): Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03), Developer - Associate (DVA-C02), CloudOps Engineer - Associate (SOA-C03), DevOps Engineer - Professional (DOP-C02), Security - Specialty, Machine Learning Engineer - Associate (MLA-C01), Generative AI Developer - Professional (AIP-C01)
- Google Cloud (6): Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer
- PMI (2): PMP, CAPM
Exam versions (October 2026): some exams have changed since these apps were built. The Security Specialty app follows SCS-C02 (retired December 1, 2025; SCS-C03 since December 2, 2025); the PMP app was built for the PMP outline used before the new exam of July 9, 2026; MLA-C01 retires in all languages on January 14, 2027; DVA-C02’s last day is November 30, 2026. In the CloudOps Engineer (SOA-C03), Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer, and Professional Machine Learning Engineer apps, questions follow the previous exam outline; update in progress. Check the exam code on each app page.
Full Offline Access
All questions are bundled with the app, so you can study without any internet connection. On a subway. On a plane. In a basement with no signal. Your study routine should never be limited by connectivity.
This is not “cached for a few hours” offline. It is fully downloaded, permanently available, works-in-airplane-mode offline.
Multi-Language Support
Cloud certifications are global, but most study resources are English-only. The StudyKits apps can be used in five languages:
- English
- Japanese
- Korean
- German
- Portuguese
Non-native English speakers can study in their preferred language while still learning the English technical terms they will encounter on the exam.
Domain-Level Progress Tracking
Knowing your overall score is not enough. You need to know which specific domains are strong and which need more work. StudyKits breaks down your performance by exam domain so you can allocate your remaining study time where it will have the most impact.
If you are scoring 90% on compute questions but only 60% on security, you need to study security — not do more compute questions to feel good about your score.
Smart Review with Spaced Repetition
StudyKits uses FSRS spaced-repetition flashcards to resurface questions you got wrong or were uncertain about at optimal intervals. This means you spend more time on concepts you are struggling with and less time reviewing what you already know.
Learn more about how spaced repetition accelerates certification exam preparation in our detailed guide on the science behind it.
One-Time Purchase, No Subscription
Each app is free to download with free practice sets. A one-time purchase unlocks all sets in that app — no subscription, no recurring fees. See the App Store for the price.

How to Get the Most Out of StudyKits
1. Choose Your Certification
Pick the certification that aligns with your career goals. Not sure which one? Our guides can help:
- AWS Certification Path 2026 — which AWS cert to start with
- AWS vs GCP vs Azure — choosing a cloud provider
- Cloud Certification Salary Guide — ROI of each certification
2. Build a Study Plan
Combine a video course or structured learning resource with StudyKits practice questions. Use the video course to learn concepts, and StudyKits to test and reinforce your understanding.
We recommend starting practice questions by the end of your first week, not waiting until you finish the course. Active testing from the beginning is more effective than passive watching.
3. Study in Short, Frequent Sessions
Three 20-minute practice sessions throughout the day are more effective than one 60-minute session. StudyKits is designed for exactly this kind of micro-study:
- Morning commute: 15-20 questions
- Lunch break: 10-15 questions
- Evening: 20-30 questions with thorough review
4. Track Your Progress
Check your domain-level scores regularly. Focus extra time on any domain where you score below 70%. Our rule of thumb: do not schedule your exam until you consistently score 80% or more on fresh questions, with no domain below 70%.
5. Use the Review Feature
After completing a practice set, spend time with the explanations — especially for questions you got wrong or guessed on. The explanations are where the real learning happens.
What Is Coming Next
We are building StudyKits based on what candidates actually need, not what looks good in a feature comparison table. If there is something you want to see, we would love to hear from you.
